Manage the Propagation Workflow

Edited

Overview

In Next Identity, the Propagation Workflow refers to the predefined relationship between your Development and Production environments. This setup ensures that changes can be safely tested in Development before being applied to Production, supporting structured rollout processes and minimizing risk.

Each client starts with two default environments: Development and Production. These environments are connected in a fixed pipeline. While users cannot currently create or remove environments, they can view and manage details for each one.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Next Identity Console

  • Permissions to view and edit environment settings

Steps

1. View Your Environments

  • Open the Console and select Environments from the left-side menu.

  • The screen displays both Development and Production environments.

  • To see more details, select an environment card. It will expand to show:

    • Domain

    • Database

    • Linked Email and SMS providers

2. Edit an Environment

  • If you have the necessary permissions, an Edit button appears on each environment card.

  • Select it to access the Edit Environment screen.

  • You can update the environment name.

  • Once saved, the new name is reflected across the platform.

Note: Support for adding Custom Domains and SSL Certificates to your environments is coming soon.

What Happens Next

  • The environment name update is applied consistently throughout the console.

  • You can return to this screen at any time to review or modify environment settings (if permissions allow).
